Calum Flockhart

x

Prior to establishing hendersonherd, Steven was the UK Board member of BNP Paribas Real Estate responsible for both the Scottish operation and all transactional business throughout the UK.

During 20 years with Weatherall Green and Smith, Steven jointly developed a London based insolvency department and was appointed head of the Scottish business in 1996.

Developing a property insolvency business within a free falling market early in his career instilled an appreciation of core property values. His 12 year tenure of the Scottish operation created a sustainable, multi-disciplinary business, designed to profit from the dynamics of occupier, investor and financial markets. This business became one of the most consistently profitable in BNP Paribas Real Estate.

Steven’s decision to establish hendersonherd was based upon a desire to further develop a property consultancy business, where client’s requirements can be optimised without the limitations of a traditional property consultancy business.

Throughout his career, transacting property has been the focus. It remains his view that in the right hands, property is a simple asset class, it is people and circumstance that present both the challenge and the opportunity.

Steven is a graduate of Aberdeen University and a qualified Chartered Surveyor. He attained the dubious honour of third place in the Property Week Awards UK Young Property Person of the Year, 1999, about the same time this photo was taken.

DAVID HENDERSON

Director

Also of Weatherall Green and Smith lineage, David started his career in London in 1992, transferring to the firm’s Scottish office in Edinburgh in 1998. By 2008, when he left to establish hendersonherd, David was Director responsible for investment in Edinburgh.

David views real estate as a reservoir of capital which can be exploited by both occupiers and investors at different stages of the economic cycle. The dynamics of property investment and funding continue to change and this provides scope for innovation and new solutions. David’s ability to combine his knowledge of the real estate investment market with the priorities of an occupational balance sheet means that his advice is sought by both private and public sector occupiers, as well as the wider property investment community.

David is a graduate of Cambridge University and holds an MBA from the University of Edinburgh. He qualified as Chartered Surveyor in 1994.
